POSITION OVERVIEW: The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales Team in the absence of the Store Manager by ensuring product availability for all patrons and fostering a positive work atmosphere. This position requires close collaboration with the Store Manager, General Manager, Sales Team, Corporate Staff, and customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure cleanliness of the parking area (sweeping, washing, and litter collection).
  2. Maintain cleanliness of fuel dispensers.
  3. Oversee vendor check-ins using the established scanning protocol.
  4. Restock refrigeration units and freezers.
  5. Perform floor cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping.
  6. Manage the stocking and sanitation of food service areas.
  7. Organize and replenish products on retail shelves.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in beverage and coffee stations.
  9. Ensure restrooms are clean and well-stocked.
  10. Handle ice bagging tasks.
  11. Empty waste receptacles both inside and outside the facility.
  12. Supervise fuel delivery check-ins.
  13. Collect litter from outdoor areas.
  14. Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks and parking lots.
  15. Ensure the donut display case is clean.
  16. Perform duties as outlined in the Store Manager's job description when necessary.
  17. Accurately process financial transactions at the register.
  18. Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
  19. Encourage participation in the Rewards Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following tasks are to be executed in the absence of or as directed by the Store Manager:
  1. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Communicate effectively with all team members.
  3. Adapt to changes in a constructive manner and manage additional tasks as needed.
  4. Support the company's mission and core values.
  5. Deliver prompt and friendly customer service.
  6. Complete daily administrative paperwork.
  7. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new employees.
  8. Manage disciplinary actions and terminations of Sales Team members.
  9. Create work schedules for Sales Team members while adhering to budgeted hours.
  10. Facilitate training for new hires.
  11. Regularly check and respond to internal communications.
  12. Reconcile employee time records and payroll submissions in accordance with company policy.
  13. Order inventory from approved suppliers.
  14. Monitor daily fuel sales and inventory levels.
  15. Coordinate with Corporate Staff for procedural assistance.
  16. Communicate with the Maintenance Department for repair needs.
  17. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the facility and dispensers.
  18. Organize and lead regular team meetings.
  19. Attend management meetings as required.
  20. Promote the Rewards Program.
  21. Exemplify the core values of the company.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  1. Prolonged periods of standing are required.
  2. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing at least 55 lbs.
  3. Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing may be necessary.
  4. Some travel may be required.
