Job Title: Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Operations Supervisor to join our team at Immunotek. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plasma center, supervising donor flow, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise donor flow and ensure efficient processing
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of donor records
  • Ensure facility cleanliness and equipment maintenance
  • Conduct operational and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company policies and customer requirements
  • Assist in training and developing staff, as well as performing employee performance observations and corrective actions
  • Assist in machine/device resource management and assist the Assistant Manager in identifying and interviewing line staff candidates
  • Build rapport with donors to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain donor retention
  • Report any unsafe situations or conditions to management
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives and assist in the creation of the employee schedule
  • Assist in the coordination of breaks and staffing to ensure efficient donor processing and assist in end-of-day closing operations
  • Assist in the reporting of minor donor complaints and maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of experience in a fast-paced, customer service-related industry required
  • Ability to become certified as a Phlebotomist, DCT 2, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer within three months of accepting the position
  • Ability to complete PCS training, certification, repair, and troubleshoot PCS machines within four months of accepting the position
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle multiple tasks, short deadlines, frequent interruptions, and shifting priorities in support of changing company objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess leadership/supervisory skills
  • Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions
  • Ability to work with a team and collaborate with others
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and vendors
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to analyze situations
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information
  • Maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, FDA, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and Immunotek company procedures
  • Ability to train and develop staff as needed
Physical Requirements:
  • Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knee
  • Ability to train in plasma collection areas
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time for up to four hours at a time
  • Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifty pounds
  • Ability to travel by plane or car as required to train or assist other centers as needed
Work Environment:
  • Typical work environment with moderate noise level
  • May be exposed to freezing temperatures for short periods of time
  • Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
