Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Cyfle. This role is crucial in providing expert financial guidance and support to municipal utilities and electric cooperatives.

Compensation: $130,000.00

Essential Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in utility and rate analysis, particularly within energy sectors such as electrical, gas, solar, wind, water, and municipal services.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or mathematics is required; CPA or MBA credentials are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Demonstrated utility industry experience is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing, reviewing, and enhancing financial models and databases using Excel and Access.
  • Conducting comprehensive cost-of-service studies.
  • Designing and implementing utility rate structures.
  • Assisting in financial planning and forecasting processes.
  • Performing cost/benefit analyses and preparing presentations.
  • Providing expert testimony for clients as needed.
  • Reporting directly to the Vice President of Financial Services and potentially overseeing the work of others.
Additional Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective time management across multiple projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of utility rates, cost allocation methods, and regulatory accounting practices.
  • Awareness of technological and market trends impacting the utility industry.
  • Ability to foster long-term advisory relationships and engage in industry groups.
