Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our team in the Operating Room at Northwestern Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering safe and effective care to patients during surgical procedures.

Job Responsibilities

The Certified Surgical Technician will work under the supervision of the RN to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience. This includes:

  • Preparing and maintaining a sterile environment for surgical procedures
  • Assisting the surgical team with patient care and positioning
  • Managing surgical instruments and equipment
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) within twelve months of hire
  • CPR – Basic Life Support certification
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds
