Job Title: Electronics Fabrication Specialist

About the Job:
  • We are seeking an experienced Electronics Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Amphenol.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling electronic components, subassemblies, and products to meet customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions.
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationships using hand jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices.
  • Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and/or cabinets.
  • Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
  • Performs intermediate assembly tasks, including potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
  • Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
  • Performs online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards.
  • Protects themselves and coworkers by adhering to all company safety & health policies.
  • Identifies hazards in the workplace and reports them to management and/or safety coordinator.
  • Must work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies' requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Must work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 months of experience or training OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Passage of appropriate testing to advance in ABC certification program
Estimated Salary:

$15.00 per hour (minimum hiring rate)
