About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Teen Coordinator to join our team at the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with teenagers and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective youth programs.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & Implementation
  1. Design and deliver age-appropriate programs and activities that focus on academic success, career preparation, leadership development, and healthy lifestyles.
  2. Leverage Boys & Girls Clubs of America programs and resources.
  3. Organize special events, workshops, and field trips that align with the interests and needs of teens.
  4. Staff regular Club hours, teen nights, teen weekend programs, and teen summer camp.
  5. Ensure programs are inclusive, culturally responsive, and meet the diverse needs of all participants.
  6. Advise Keystone and Torch Leadership Clubs, building community service programs and opportunities, tracking their contributions, and recognizing achievements.
Member Engagement & Retention
  1. Build positive relationships with teen members to understand their interests, challenges, and aspirations.
  2. Foster a sense of belonging and community among teen members.
  3. Implement strategies to increase teen membership and regular attendance.
  4. Manage related marketing, partnerships, and community engagements.
Safety & Supervision
  1. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all members.
  2. Enforce Club policies, procedures, and behavioral expectations.
  3. Address any conflicts or issues that arise promptly and effectively.
  4. Supervise part-time teen staff.
Collaboration & Communication
  1. Work closely with other Club staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program offerings and resources.
  2. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and Club activities.
  3. Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  4. Conduct regular staff and parent meetings.
Administration & Reporting
  1. Maintain accurate records of program participation, outcomes, and member progress.
  2. Prepare and submit program reports and evaluations as required by the Program Director.
  3. Assist with budget management, including tracking expenses and managing program supplies.
  4. Comply with all licensing requirements.
  5. Administer Teen Program grant awards.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent experience.
  2. Well-organized and able to set and meet goals.
  3. Team player who engages staff, parents, and young people and encourages their participation in planning, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  4. Clear and effective communicator.
  5. Experience with child advocacy and intake a plus.
  6. Ability to build positive working relationships with community leaders.
  7. AED, First Aid, Safety, and CPR certification required (within 90 days of hire).
  8. CDL Bus License w/ P & S endorsement preferred within the 1st year of employment.
