Spearhead the design of cutting-edge architectures within a Real Time Operating System (RTOS) environment, guiding a multifaceted team to develop, integrate, and validate advanced Avionics and Aerospace systems. Collaborate closely to establish hardware specifications for complex, flight-certified avionics and aerospace equipment. Interact with clients and internal teams to define system requirements and frameworks that surpass client expectations. Support departmental leadership in various marketing efforts, including proposal development and strategic product/technology planning.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Design and implement sophisticated embedded avionics for new initiatives, maintenance, and modernization projects. Develop, integrate, and validate firmware for complex embedded avionics systems, potentially overseeing a diverse team. Work with both internal and external stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and facilitate the creation of specification documents and system frameworks. Conduct trade studies within relevant fields and guide departmental roadmaps, internal research and development, marketing, and strategic planning. Collaborate with stakeholders to assign functionalities to systems and components, refining these into detailed requirements.Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline with equivalent experience. At least 8 years of experience in developing, deriving, allocating, and testing complex avionics requirements, with expertise in implementing RTOS, preferably Green Hills or VxWorks. Strong background in designing architectures, with preferred experience in embedded development for avionics buses such as PCIe, 429, Ethernet, and 1553, utilizing C++ and C. Preferred knowledge in defining and implementing cybersecurity requirements, as well as integrating and troubleshooting hardware in laboratory settings using tools like logic analyzers and power supplies. A valid and clean driver's license is required.
