We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Manager to join our team at SolutionHealth. As a Medical Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing the new patient office, providing exceptional patient care, and ensuring seamless communication with providers and referring offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all incoming referrals for new and existing patients, and contact patients to schedule appointments.
  • Assist potential new patients and referring offices with the new patient process, handling a high volume of phone contact and electronic/new patient information.
  • Obtain and verify demographic and coverage information, organize, ensure accuracy, and complete new patient referral forms following department guidelines for each new patient.
  • Request prior medical records, testing, and referrals, and ensure information is received prior to appointment.
  • Verify accuracy of information by identifying patient demographics, hospital number, insurance, and patient history.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date status on all new patient referrals using Patient Message function in EPIC to continually document information.
  • Notify APRN of any urgent incoming requests for review and ensure records are available.
  • Follow specified procedures for dispatching finished referrals to designated person(s) for approval to either book appointments or notify referring providers of denials.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of related medical office experience required.
  • Certification/Licensure: N/A
  • Software/Hardware: Proficient in MS Office.
