Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Manager to join our team at Sweetwater Healthcare Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supervising the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing standards and regulations.
  • Supervise CNA staff in the delivery of direct resident care, ensuring that all care is provided in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular rounds to ensure that residents are receiving high-quality care and to identify any potential issues.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve the quality of care provided at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing and currently licensed by the state.
  • Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Capable of maintaining regular attendance and being punctual for scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to supervise other employees and work cooperatively to achieve resident care objectives.
  • Meet all local health regulations and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.
  • Physical and sensory requirements include walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to hear and respond to pages, ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures, ability to read and write, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with residents, families, personnel, vendors and consultants, and ability to remain calm under stress.
  • BLS certification is required.
