The Sweetwater County School District #1 is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Substitute School Nurse to join our team. As a Substitute School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
- Implement school health management protocols for students with special health needs, including medication administration and nursing procedures.
- Act as a resource person in promoting health careers and provide information to staff and students with special health needs.
- Report to the building principal and school secretary upon arrival and maintain established routines and procedures.
- Assist with vision and hearing screening activities throughout the school year.
- Current Wyoming Registered Nurse license.
- Four-year degree in a Registered Nurse approved program from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to work with various personality types and possess sound emotional judgment.
- Visual acuity and stamina to work at a computer monitor for part of the day.
- Ability to travel to various assigned buildings.
- Frequent exposure to weather extremes.
- Occasional exposure to blood-borne diseases.
