Key Responsibilities:- Diagnostic Studies: Perform diagnostic studies on patients, utilizing scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce high-quality images of organs.
- Radiopharmaceutical Preparation: Prepare stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administer therapeutic doses under the supervision of a physician.
- Equipment Calibration: Calibrate equipment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and patient safety.
- Radiation Safety: Follow radiation safety techniques in the use and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Team Leadership: May direct and check the work of other Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
- Experience: Minimum of three years continuous recent experience in nuclear medicine.
- Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Nuclear Medicine Technologist or equivalent.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED.
