Position Overview
SAIC is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is essential in supporting the US Army Corps of Engineers Revolutionary IT Services (USACE RITS) program by establishing, configuring, operating, and sustaining an automated patch and vulnerability management system. This system is crucial for ensuring compliance across assets and technologies within the Department of Defense Information Networks (DODIN) and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Department of Defense, Army, and USACE OCIO/G-6 reporting standards.
- Conduct and evaluate Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVM) and non-IAVM scans, addressing and rectifying non-compliant devices or configurations while following the organizational change management protocols.
- Develop Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), Operational Impact Statements (OIS), or Waivers when STIG(s) or IAVMs cannot be met, providing effective mitigation and remediation strategies to minimize risk and achieve compliance.
- Schedule, delegate, and oversee vulnerability action items until they are completed by the designated deadlines.
- Report on the status of IAVMs for all relevant technologies and assets.
- Ensure that no unaddressed IAVMs remain on the network without an approved POA&M or Waiver, or one that has been superseded by a later IAVM version.
- Ensure that IAVM-required audit and accountability transaction alerts are integrated into the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficient in Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVM).
- Experience with the submission of Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
Certifications:
- A DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is required prior to employment (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain a full Secret Clearance; an Interim Secret is required before starting, with assistance from SAIC to obtain it.
- Must be a current US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Familiarity with Tenable, Nessus, or ACAS.
- Experience using ServiceNow.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Compliance with customer site vaccination requirements is necessary when work is performed at a customer location.
