Job Description

Eataly North America is seeking a skilled Restaurant Host to join our team. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

  • Manage the flow of the dining room during meal service, relaying information to managers and service personnel.
  • Maintain an accurate, fair, and up-to-date waitlist and seating chart using a computerized system.
  • Take and manage reservations in restaurants that allow reservations.
  • Balancing the guest flow among the service stations, taking into account requests for a particular table or server depending on availability.
  • Inform guests when tables are ready, escort them to table, provide menus, and introduce the server.
  • Assist with the duties of servers and bus persons as needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in a high-volume restaurant highly preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
