We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Froedtert Hospital. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the daily operations of our ophthalmology department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of ocular examinations and procedures to assist the provider with patient care.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and coordinating the timely flow of patients through the physician's schedule.
- Participate in educational and technical training sessions to enhance the skills of other staff members.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
- A minimum of 12 months of prior experience as an Ophthalmic/Optometric Tech is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days.
