About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Business Performance team at Amazon. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and innovation through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use analytics and business intelligence skills to extract meaningful insights from large, complex data sets.
  • Conduct and present analyses on customer trends, program effectiveness, and business impact to key stakeholders.
  • Build and deliver narrative-based reporting that clearly tells the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers.
  • Test and challenge assumptions around customer value through data-driven models, focusing on customer experience and loyalty.
  • Make recommendations for new products and recommend improvements to existing operational mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fully understand and support our products.
  • Continuously monitor and improve data sets to enhance their effectiveness.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience in business or financial analysis, product costing, procurement, or a quantitative role.
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  • 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or equivalent experience.
