Current Opportunity: Residential HVAC Installation Lead Technician

Job Summary:

The Residential Installation Lead is responsible for the professional installation of HVAC systems in residential settings, adhering to the standards set by Tom's Mechanical, Inc. and relevant regulatory bodies. The installer must prioritize safety and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Install HVAC systems with precision and quality, ensuring customer satisfaction within designated timelines
  • Coordinate effectively with customer care teams to maintain an efficient schedule
  • Be available for assignments during evenings and weekends as required
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for job-related travel
  • Engage in continuous training to enhance skills and stay updated with industry advancements
  • Communicate proactively with the Residential Systems Manager regarding any customer concerns or operational challenges
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately and promptly
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, exceeding service quality expectations
  • Lead by example to encourage team productivity and positive attitudes
  • Support on-call installation schedules and respond to emergency HVAC situations as needed
  • Collaborate with the Residential Installation Supervisor to create a skills development plan
  • Maintain accurate logs of refrigerants
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Current EPA certification and TDLR License

  • Experience in residential HVAC is advantageous
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable with climbing ladders and accessing rooftops
  • Willingness to work long hours during peak seasons
