Outpatient Dialysis Nurse

Fresenius Medical Center seeks a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Dialysis Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our hemodialysis healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care on a daily basis, adhering to our policies, procedures, and training.
Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Direct the provision of safe and effective delivery of chronic hemodialysis therapy to patients, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulations.
- Leadership and Delegation: Delegate tasks to direct patient care staff, including LVNs/LPNs, Patient Care Technicians, and Dialysis Assistants, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Patient Assessment and Education: Assess daily patient care needs, develop patient care assignments, and provide ongoing education to patients regarding their renal disease, vascular access, and dialysis therapy.
- Lab and Medication Management: Ensure accurate and complete documentation of lab results, vital signs, and treatment parameters, and manage medication administration and inventory.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including monthly reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Minimum of one-year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Hemodialysis experience preferred
- ICU experience preferred
