Dialysis Nurse

As a Registered Nurse in our Dialysis Unit, you will play a vital role in providing direct nursing care to patients requiring complex assessments and interventions. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes for our dialysis patients.
Responsibilities:- Assess daily dialysis patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes for the dialysis patient.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including collection of data for the dialysis unit's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) plan.
- Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
- Work with internal and external resources to maintain machine maintenance and partnership with home dialysis departments.
- Perform surveillance and testing of dialysis water treatment equipment and dialysis water to ensure that these machines are operating within the parameters set within the manufacturer guidelines.
- Provide patient education/teaching applicable to the patient's medical condition.
- May provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
- Minimum one year of registered nurse experience.
