Outpatient Dialysis Nurse

Fresenius Medical Center seeks a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Dialysis Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our hemodialysis healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care on a daily basis, adhering to our policies, procedures, and training.
Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Direct the provision of safe and effective delivery of chronic hemodialysis therapy to patients, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulations.
- Leadership and Delegation: Delegate tasks to direct patient care staff, including LVNs/LPNs, Patient Care Technicians, and Dialysis Assistants, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Assessment and Planning: Assess daily patient care needs and develop appropriate patient care assignments, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
- Education and Training: Provide ongoing education to patients regarding their renal disease, vascular access, and dialysis therapy, as well as other related health conditions.
- Lab Management: Ensure accurate and complete documentation of lab results, including online clearance monitoring, adequacy monitoring, and urea kinetic modeling.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities, including monthly reports and ongoing evaluation of patient care needs.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Minimum of one-year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Hemodialysis experience preferred
- ICU experience preferred
