In this role, you will perform documented inspections to verify conformance of parts to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and statutory and regulatory requirements.

The Quality Assurance Checker is responsible for creating the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan according to customer and Flowserve specifications and international standards.

The Quality Assurance Checker reports directly to the Quality Control Supervisor/Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documenting dimensional and visual inspections to the drawing or applicable procedures
  • Documenting non-conforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) process
  • Reviewing and verifying internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, NDE personnel with regard to Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE), welding procedures, and other applicable requirements
  • Reviewing and approving supplier's manufacturing and testing documents/procedures and taking care of approval (when required) of these documents by the customer, his customer, and the authorized inspection body
  • Preparing and defining test and inspection requirements for the required projects such as ITP and procurement specifications
  • Maintaining knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly, and test operations
  • Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of welding, NDE, and quality systems
  • Knowledge of established quality standards, laws, and regulations of national and international authorities
