Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outside Sales Lead to join our team at Race Communications. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading a team of outside sales representatives, and providing training, coaching, and mentorship to ensure their success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Team Leadership and Support: Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring for local team of outside sales representatives, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment to maximize productivity and morale.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards, promoting a culture of integrity and accountability within the sales team.
  • Sales Outreach and Customer Engagement: Source new sales opportunities through door-to-door education of Race fiber optic internet, phone, and television services, identifying, assessing, and understanding customer needs and requirements to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Product Knowledge and Customer Service: Gain and retain extensive product knowledge as well as detailed comprehension of customer's requirements for Race fiber optic internet, phone, and television products, providing accurate, valid, and complete information when using our CRM and other software as provided.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Keep detailed records of customer interactions, processes customer accounts, and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to data protection policies.
  • Sales Campaigns and Events: Participate in sales and marketing campaigns and attends outside events (travel required), maintaining a clean driving record as defined by the current fleet insurance underwriter and observing hazards and reporting any concerns or accidents to a supervisor or safety professional.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • A valid California driver's license, subject to successful verification through a DMV check, is mandatory
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Minimum of two years of experience in sales, outside sales preferably within the telecom sector, or a related field, with equivalent work experience in customer-facing roles required
  • Minimum of one year of experience managing a team required
  • Experience with direct sales, B2B sales, and/or channel sales within the telecom sector preferred
  • Familiarity of telecommunications products, services, and technologies (e.g., broadband, wireless, VoIP, fiber optics) preferred
  • Familiarity with telecom industry standards, regulations, and competitive landscape, including a comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance, market trends, and competitor strategies preferred
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools such as Sales Rabbit, Tableau, and Salesforce required
