Job Title: Executive Director

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our assisted living community in West Des Moines, IA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration, operations, and overall management of the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, staff members, and the wider community.
  • Manage census and revenue development by maximizing total occupancy and strategically engaging private pay and managed care occupancy.
  • Demonstrate successful expense management by ensuring labor hours are within budget parameters, overall expenses are at or below budget, and ensuring expense variances are addressed immediately.
  • Manage sales and marketing with regular involvement in the sales strategy for the assisted living community, and maintaining involvement in the community at large as a health care leader.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in long-term care in management role preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an assisted living community or a similar healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, including licensing, safety, and health standards.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of staff members.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of relevant software applications.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to serving the needs of residents and their families.
