About the Job

Deanna Nesbit & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and direction for the engineering team's execution of development and sustainment programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of power architectures and topologies in the range of kilowatts of power, as well as a strong understanding of diverse engineering principles, including mechanics, software, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will partner with the Engineering Manager to identify and allocate resources necessary to execute internal and customer-funded product development activities.

The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and direction for the engineering team's execution of development and sustainment programs
  • Partner with the Engineering Manager to identify and allocate resources necessary to execute internal and customer-funded product development activities
  • Develop and manage the R&D budget and collaborate with the Engineering Manager to obtain the allocation of resources to support the execution
  • Identify and understand technology related to military ground support equipment
  • Drive engineering resources to develop products that are compliant with the technical requirements of a customer's specifications
  • Identify technical risks in customer requests for proposal (RFP) documentation
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to identify internal capability gaps in the engineering team and technological infrastructure
  • Support the hiring process to help fill gaps in resources and identify infrastructure solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Software engineering or a related field
  • ~10+ years of engineering and product development experience, preferably in the military and aerospace ground support equipment segment, emphasizing power and electrical engineering applications
  • ~Demonstrated knowledge of power architectures and topologies in the range of kilowatts of power, with a strong understanding of diverse engineering principles, including mechanics, software, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • ~Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
