Job Summary

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Medical Support Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care at InterMed, P.A.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients, taking vital signs, and performing point-of-care testing as directed by providers
  • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication reconciliation and data entry
  • Preparation of exam rooms, stocking, and cleaning of supplies and equipment
  • Assistance with clinical procedures, injections, and immunizations under the supervision of licensed professionals
  • Support with administrative tasks, such as completing forms, obtaining lab/x-ray reports, and referring information

Requirements:

  • Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program or nursing school
  • Current certification as a CMA or RMA, or willingness to obtain within 6 weeks of hire
  • Unencumbered active registered nurse licensure in Maine (for RNs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $27.50-$31.00 per hour, depending on experience.
