Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist I to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine diagnostic MRI procedures, including exams of moderate complexity, with progression towards exams of higher complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic MRI procedures, including common and special MRI exams, to produce high-quality images of body structures and provide insight into the chemical makeup of tissues.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic or special MRI procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
  • Provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members at an appropriate level, utilizing verbal and non-verbal skills, terminology, and language.
  • Follow safety standards and conduct all imaging procedures accordingly, maintaining proper sterile techniques for procedures and ensuring compliance with radiation safety and infection control procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations section.
  • ARRT-MR, ARMRIT, CMRT, or equivalent certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
