Sharp HealthCare is seeking a skilled Radiation Oncology Dosimetrist to join our team at Grossmont Hospital. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of radiation treatment plans for our patients.
Responsibilities
Interpret Radiation Oncologist's orders and generate prescribed treatment plans using computer and/or manual computation
Maintain pre-treatment and treatment planning records as required in paper chart form and IMPAC
Operate simulator/mold and treatment equipment as needed
Assist in preparation of weekly planning meeting
Assist MD with treatment simulation, body contouring, and use of immobilization molds
Assist physicist with treatment planning, brachytherapy, prostate implants, and other procedures
Requirements
1 year experience in radiation therapy treatment planning
Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) - Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board - REQUIRED
Bachelor's Degree B.S., B.A. degree preferred with eligibility to take CMD exam, or OJT (may also be Certified Medical Dosimetrist)
AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED
