About the Role

As a Medical Physicist in our Oncology department, you will play a critical role in verifying, documenting, and maintaining information used in radiation dose calculations and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze and evaluate equipment performance used in radiation therapy.
  2. Provide technical assistance and clinical support to Consultant staff and Allied health personnel as needed.
  3. Remain current in all treatment techniques and applicable medical physics practice relevant to the regional site.
  4. Develop and perform quality assurance procedures and monitor radiation output, mechanical integrity, and safety of equipment used in radiation therapy.

Requirements

A D in Medical Physics or a master's and/or doctoral degree in Physics or a related field. American Board of Radiology, Therapeutic Medical Physics certification or equivalent. Three years post-degree clinical medical physics experience.

What We Offer

Full-time position with occasional weekend work. Optional two weeks of long-distance teleworking per year and some work from home coverage.
