Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Bashas' As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day operations in our Meat and Seafood departments, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Order, cut, grind, slice, weigh, wrap, and label meat products according to quality, quantity, and food safety standards.
  • Control product shrinks and inventory expenses through proper handling, cutting, trimming, and wrapping techniques.
  • Provide customers with excellent product information and sell products effectively.
  • Operate meat department tools and equipment, including knives, saws, wrapping machines, and grinders, while meeting safety standards.
  • Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement to ensure accurate and efficient sales.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly meat counter, work areas, and self-service cases.
  • Assist with the preparation of ready-to-go meat products and slice, weigh, and merchandise prepared deli meats and cheeses.
  • Display goods according to deli department and merchandising guidelines.
  • Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to customer satisfaction.
  • Meet safety standards and follow company policies.
Requirements

To be successful as a Meat Cutter at Bashas', you must be able to:

  • Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Meet physical demands, including standing, sitting, lifting, pushing, and bending.
