Data Center Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Startech Networks Inc. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain data center equipment, including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data center equipment and infrastructure.
  • Cable Management: Manage and maintain data center cabling, including fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of data center equipment and infrastructure.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of data center services.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in data center infrastructure installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network devices. Proficient in fiber optic and copper cabling. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco CCNA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with: Data center infrastructure management tools, such as DCIM. Experience with fiber optic testing and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of: Data center security protocols and best practices. Knowledge of data center power and cooling systems.
