About the Role

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for championing our developed curriculum, managing and ensuring the quality of education standards and teaching staff, partnering with local schools and school administrators, and growing the business in your center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Center Growth: Help drive the growth of the center by keeping parents informed on program progress, working on recommendations to alter program prescriptions or offer additional programs, and managing instructional staff.
  • Manage & Train: Participate in training and motivating all certified instructors, teachers, and educational staff, and partner with the Center Director to run operations.
  • Ensure Educational Integrity: Administer Sylvan Skills Assessments, analyze and interpret results, write and recommend goal-based programs for Sylvan students, and monitor programs for performance. Establish relationships and communications with students' teachers for insights on school progress, and create a positive learning environment by modeling motivational behavior in the center for staff, students, and parents.
Requirements
  • A teaching credential, either current or expired
  • Managerial experience
  • Excellent verbal communication and persuasive skills, and the ability to build relationships
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Confidence presenting to large groups
  • Ability to work evening hours and some Saturdays
