Position Summary

This faculty position involves planning, teaching, directing, and supervising student learning experiences in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical areas, following the curriculum approved by the Accreditation Bureau.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach and implement the total curriculum, as assigned by and under the direction and supervision of your direct supervisor.
  • Plan and assign student activities in the classroom and/or clinical settings.
  • Maintain records of student progress and performance, attendance, and grades.
  • Prepare, administer, and grade written and practical examinations during the course of study.
  • Devises written lesson plans and implements them through lecture, demonstration, discussion, etc.
  • Discuss with students their concerns and/or problems directly or indirectly related to the learning experience.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with the Program Director or her designee.
  • Assist students in developing an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the healthcare profession.
  • Participate in the selection and preparation of instructional materials.
  • Provide a professional role model for students.
  • Provide instruction to Pharmacy Technician classes.
  • Prepare students for a successful career as a Pharmacy Technician Assistant.
  • Assist with ongoing review and development of curricula in the department.
  • Attend orientations, staff meetings, and faculty meetings as scheduled.
  • Monitor student progress and attendance.
Requirements and Education:
  • 3 years of experience in the field.
  • PT Certification License.
  • High School Diploma.
