Pharmacy Technician Instructor

This faculty position directly reports to the Campus Director and is responsible for planning, teaching, directing, and supervising all student learning experiences in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical areas, following the curriculum of the college approved by the Accreditation Bureau.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in the field, PT Certification License, and a High School Diploma. They will be responsible for teaching and implementing the total curriculum, as assigned by, and under the direction and supervision of their direct supervisor.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching and implementing the total curriculum, as assigned by, and under the direction and supervision of your direct supervisor.
• Planning and assigning student activities in the classroom and/or clinical settings.
• Maintaining records of student progress and performance, attendance and grades.
• Preparing, administering, and grading, written and practical examinations during course of study.
• Devising written lesson plans and implementing them through lecture, demonstration, discussion, etc.
• Discussing with students their concerns and/or problems directly or indirectly related to learning experience.
• Participating in regularly scheduled meetings with Program Director or her designee.
• Assisting the student to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
• Participating in the selection and preparation of instructional materials.
• Providing a professional role model for students.
• Providing instruction to Pharmacy Technician classes.
• Preparing students for a successful career as a Pharmacy Technician Assistant.
• Assisting with on-going review and development of curricula in the department.
• Attending orientations, staff meetings, and faculty meetings as scheduled.
• Monitoring student progress and attendance.
