Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at DXP Enterprises. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for accurately shipping and receiving materials, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately ship and receive materials, including picking, packing, and shipping of products, as well as crating and skidding as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain Pro Seal inventory for accuracy, organization, and cleanliness, including bin labeling and cycle counting.
  • Stage materials for customers' "ship complete" orders and ongoing pump and seal shop repair projects.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, UPS, FedEx, and our own service vehicles using a fork truck or crane.
  • Maintain a "non-conforming" inventory area per our process and continuously monitor to ensure proper disposition and attention.
  • Provide current ship status of products to internal and external customers.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment of the trade.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in a timely manner and work in a manner consistent with safety of self and others at all times.
  • Be willing to work overtime hours as needed.
  • Identify current and future warehouse tooling and equipment requirements.
  • Make regular inspections of the work area, building, and equipment assigned to you during the week.
  • Achieve self-improvement by attending training sessions, in-service, and workshops conducted by Pro-Seal and/or other approved agencies.
  • Work in accordance with the principles and procedures outlined in the QPI manual.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in the warehouse area, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience in shipping/receiving and warehouse operations.
  • Basic understanding of modern warehousing operations.
  • Skills necessary to use various products, tools, and machinery required for highly accurate shipping, receiving, and warehousing, including rigging of heavy equipment.
  • Ability to follow written/verbal directions from the Purchasing Supervisor or designee.
  • Knowledge and initiative in maintaining safe and clean conditions in and around the warehouse area.
  • Proactive, confident, and self-directed individual focused on customer service and project completion, with a pleasant and courteous manner.
  • Ability to stay organized, work productively, and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain composure in emergency situations.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a fork truck license and crane operator's license.
Additional Information

Physical demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required.

Working conditions: Warehouse distribution environment with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.

Training/Certifications: Must possess or be willing to obtain a fork truck license and crane operator's license.

Shift Time/Overtime: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with willingness to work overtime as needed.

Travel: N/A.

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
