Overview

Position Summary:

Support pharmacy personnel in managing incoming prescriptions, delivering completed prescriptions to patients, and performing all cashier responsibilities.

Operates under the direct oversight of a licensed pharmacist and adheres to established protocols to complete assigned duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties:
Assist in the management of incoming prescriptions.

Collect and verify essential patient details such as name, address, contact number, date of birth, allergies, ongoing health issues, requests for non-safety caps, and insurance data.

Evaluate the workload, determine the prescription pickup schedule, and organize prescriptions for processing.

Facilitate the delivery of prescriptions to patients, ensuring to obtain necessary signatures.

Handle cash register operations within the Pharmacy Department.

Deliver exceptional customer service to all clients.

Perform cleaning and organizational tasks to maintain a professional workspace, including restocking necessary vials, dispensing containers, labels, and computer paper supplies.

Uphold confidentiality regarding all patient information.

Stay updated with all State and Federal regulations related to employment conditions.

Execute all store clerk responsibilities as required.

Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.

Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

Minimum:
High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED.

Preferred:
Associate's Degree or higher.

Vermont Employees:
Must be registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician.

Experience:

Preferred:
Experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting.

Special Employment Conditions:

Drug screening.

Initial and ongoing exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring.

Any additional eligibility requirements specific to the position.

Compensation:
$ an hour


The final compensation will be determined after careful evaluation of various factors such as relevant skills, years of experience, and educational background.
