Job Summary

As a Telecommunications Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of field projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget. With a strong background in construction practices and a solid understanding of project management principles, you will develop and implement project plans, ensure safety and quality control, and delegate tasks to field staff, contractors, and tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, and building codes, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Oversee project safety meetings and promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental protection.
  • Monitor construction schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met.
  • Recognize and analyze scheduling issues, supporting solution development.
  • Implement and maintain project start-up systems and procedures.
  • Coordinate change order management, securing pricing from vendors and reviewing data for project managers.
  • Prepare for project close-out, collecting warranties and O&M manuals, and creating turnover documents.
  • Manage subcontractors on site, ensuring costs, safety, schedule, and quality expectations are met.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of construction experience as a Telecommunications Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Solid understanding of current construction practices, construction documents, costs, and budgets.
  • Ability to plan and manage project schedules, identifying constructability issues, and supporting solution development.
  • Strong communication skills, interpreting stakeholder needs while leading and managing a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, with an aptitude for learning new programs, including P6, ShareFile, QuickBase, and MS Office.
Work Conditions

Able to travel throughout the central United States as needed. Must meet the physical requirements of the position, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in various weather conditions.
