- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to design and execute promotional campaigns and events to drive traffic and increase sales.
- Manage inventory of new and pre-owned motorcycles and related products, ensuring optimal stock levels based on sales trends and customer demand.
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring profitability and compliance with the dealership's policies and legal requirements.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and new product releases to effectively position the dealership in the marketplace.
- Work with the finance and insurance (F&I) department to ensure customers are presented with financing options that meet their needs.
- Maintain a clean and professional showroom environment that showcases the Harley-Davidson brand and products effectively.
- Participate in Harley-Davidson training and certification programs to stay current in accordance with Harley-Davidson University with product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Proven track record of success in automotive or motorcycle sales management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of the Harley Davidson brand and motorcycle industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting motorcycle sales.
- Experience with inventory management and financial planning.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
- Valid motorcycle endorsement on driver's license and the ability to ride a motorcycle.
- Strong ethical standards and a professional demeanor.
