Your Responsibilities.

In this role, you will:
  • Engage with patients to assess their eligibility for Medicaid and other public benefits, ensuring accurate application submissions.
  • Educate patients on the Affordable Care Act and assist them in understanding their health plan options and benefits.
  • Process financial assistance applications, verifying documentation and determining eligibility.
  • Provide cost estimates for procedures and assist patients in accessing maternity programs and prescription reimbursement.
  • Clarify billing inquiries and facilitate payment arrangements as needed.
Your Qualifications.

We value experience and dedication, and therefore we require:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certifications as a Certified Application Counselor (CAC) and Certified Application Assistant Site (CAAS).
  • A minimum of one year of experience in financial counseling within a healthcare environment.
  • A solid understanding of state and federal assistance programs.
Preferred Qualifications.

While not mandatory, the following are advantageous:
  • Previous training as a Certified Application Counselor.
  • Two or more years of experience in financial counseling or customer service in a healthcare setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
