The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for delivering thorough cleaning services to ensure a hygienic and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning tasks (dusting, mopping, sanitizing, scrubbing) in assigned resident rooms, restrooms, and communal areas daily in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Respect the privacy and preferences of residents regarding room setup and personal belongings. Always knock before entering resident spaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness of walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and polished floors as per departmental guidelines and cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure that housekeeping supplies are securely stored and inaccessible to residents at all times.
  • Properly dispose of waste, including biohazardous materials, following facility policies and procedures.
  • Display caution signs when housekeeping activities may pose safety risks to residents, staff, or visitors.
  • Assist with laundry duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Preferred one year of experience in a housekeeping role.
  • Acceptable exemptions may apply.
