Key Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
- Proficient in executing both minor and major repairs in various settings, including mobile and shop environments. Willingness to travel is essential.
- Strong background in preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
- Expertise in diagnosing engine issues, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC, drivetrain, brakes, and suspension components.
- Commitment to prioritizing safety in all repair activities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety protocols.
- Complete required repair documentation accurately.
- Maintain effective communication with the shop foreman.
- Assess vehicle condition through inspections and diagnostic evaluations, identifying worn or damaged components.
- Ensure equipment readiness by executing preventive maintenance schedules, implementing component upgrades, managing corrosion control, and performing winterization tasks.
- Address vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major systems and components, including powertrains, electrical systems, air conditioning, fuel systems, emissions, brakes, steering, and hydraulics. Conduct machine shop operations and make necessary adjustments and alignments.
- Maintain shop and truck equipment functionality by following operational guidelines, troubleshooting issues, managing supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Ensure inventory readiness by managing stock levels, placing orders, and confirming receipt of supplies.
- Comprehensive health coverage provided by the company after 60 days of employment.
