Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and recommend policies and procedures to maintain and improve the quality of service, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
  2. Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that new programs, systems, and procedures are thoroughly documented, and generate reports according to user specifications, utilizing technical expertise to analyze and present data effectively.
  3. Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Assist in returning faulty equipment to vendors for repairs, including obtaining RMA numbers, packing, and labeling equipment for shipment, and delivering packages to the purchasing department.
  4. Network Installation and Troubleshooting: Install network cables and connections as needed, and identify and resolve user problems associated with office automation equipment, hardware, and software, reporting issues to problem tracking software.
  5. Software Maintenance and Inventory: Maintain software registration and currency, and hardware inventory to ensure upgrades, preventative maintenance, and patches are performed as necessary, staying up-to-date with the latest technical expertise.
  6. Technical Expertise and Communication: Maintain current technical expertise in microcomputer technology, utilizing state-of-the-art troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques, and maintain a positive working relationship with all Center for Orthopaedics associates to promote a quality work environment.
  7. Work Coverage and Administrative Support: Provide work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personal illness, vacation, and/or education, adhering to clinic and departmental requirements.
  8. Enterprise Policy Compliance: Uphold enterprise policy guidelines and recommended new and improved guidelines to ensure compatibility and better service for enterprise users.
  9. Task Management and Resource Conservation: Accomplish assigned tasks in an orderly, timely fashion, with due concern toward the conservation of business resources such as employee time, equipment, and facilities.
  10. Supply Management and Process Improvement: Maintain an adequate supply of forms and storage media, and observe current work processes through common interaction with users, suggesting alternatives that might increase operational efficiency or effectiveness.
  11. Confidentiality and Data Protection: Maintain confidentiality of information related to patients, employees, financial data, information systems, and any other areas as designed by Imperial Health policies.

Requirements:

  1. Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required, with A+ certification preferred.
  2. Experience: More than one year of experience as a PC computer technician, with significant Windows 11 Enterprise knowledge required.
  3. Skills:
    1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including O365.
    2. Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting hardware and software.
    3. Ability to use cable equipment, handle simple tools, diagnostics tools, and telecommunication troubleshooting equipment.
    4. Effective communication skills.
    5. Ability to work flexible hours.
    6. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    7. Customer service skills.

Environmental and Working Conditions:

Possible exposure to hazardous materials/conditions and infectious diseases.

Physical and Mental Demands:

Must be able to bend, stretch, and walk. Prolonged sitting and/or standing may be required. Lifting of pounds may be necessary.
