Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of patient rooms, auxiliary rooms, and other areas throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, and waiting areas using proper cleaning guidelines and procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies according to prescribed standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, including paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
  • Waste Disposal: Handle and dispose of waste using standard procedures.
  • Team Support: Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in ensuring the daily work is completed and assist in training new employees in proper cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: CPI obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • Experience: Two years of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Good attention to detail, ability to follow sanitation and safety requirements, customer-focused, and strong verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand for sustained periods of time. Walk, push, pull, lift, and carry objects from a lower to higher position or horizontally from position to position.
  • Sensory Requirements: Minimum standard of hearing ranges, minimum standard of visual acuity with or without correction.
