Account Manager - Commercial Lines

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, anticipating client needs, and responding to client and producer questions and issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide superior day-to-day client service by anticipating client needs and responding to client and producer questions and issues in a timely manner.
  • Market and quote new business opportunities generated from producers/advisors with an emphasis on Business Insurance Risk Management.
  • Prepare new business proposals and present same when requested by client or producer.
  • Order and process renewal and change requests with an emphasis on Business Insurance Risk Management.
  • Bind, invoice, premium collection, and file documentation of assigned accounts.
  • Work to ensure the highest level of retention according to agency procedures and standards.
  • Assist clients in the reporting of claims.
  • Maintain accurate policy data in agency management system (AMS360).
  • Maintain all client documents, phone records, and meeting records in document management system (WorkSmart).
  • Consistently document activities and correspondence per agency guidelines.
  • Maintain a courteous and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, insurance carriers, and other business contacts.
  • Actively solicit and process additional lines of coverage on all accounts.
  • Direct assigned Assistant Account Managers in their daily duties.
  • Remain informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverage, and technology.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • 5 years prior professional experience in Commercial Lines Agency experience in a highly automated, risk management-focused environment.
  • Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance in the state of IL.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products with proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills, and ability to work in a team environment that will also require working independently.
  • Working knowledge of AMS360 and/or WorkSmart systems a strong plus.
