We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist III to join our team at the Health and Human Services Commission. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing complex maintenance and repair work on building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, welding, carpentry, painting, and electrical.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections, adjustments, and maintenance on building systems to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Perform repairs and renovations to modernize buildings and adapt them to new uses
- Select and order necessary materials and supplies to complete tasks
- Assist in identifying causes of system or equipment failure and calculate material and labor costs
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operation of the patient care unit
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in one or more building maintenance and construction trades
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of building codes and standards
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
