Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team at Meritus Health. In this role, you will be essential in delivering high-quality healthcare services to pediatric patients in an inpatient environment. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care and enhance health outcomes for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough health evaluations of pediatric patients, including physical assessments, medical history reviews, and diagnostic test interpretations.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Educate patients and families on preventive healthcare, chronic disease management, and wellness promotion.
  • Perform procedures such as wound care, injections, and minor surgical interventions as necessary.
  • Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of services.
  • Accurately document patient care activities in electronic health records.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay informed about pediatric healthcare practices, trends, and advancements through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatrics.
  • Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
  • Preferred clinical experience in pediatric healthcare settings.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families.
