Adjunct Instructor of Spanish

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor of Spanish to join our team at the State of Colorado. As a part-time Spanish professor, you will be responsible for teaching quality courses for the Spanish program in the Department of English and World Languages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach baccalaureate level courses in the Spanish program in accordance with program needs.
  • Prepare and present course materials according to department curricular needs.
  • Administer appropriate evaluations of student performance.
  • Prepare, administer, and grade assignments.
  • Hold office hours.
  • Assign final grades.
Requirements
  • Master's level degree, or Bachelor level degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours.
  • Advanced proficiency in Spanish.
  • Experience teaching as the primary instructor.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Spanish, Hispanic Linguistics, Language Acquisition, Education, or related field.
  • Experience teaching Spanish at the college level.
  • Proficiency in French, Italian or German.
Compensation

$1,000 per credit hour up to 24 combined total credit hours for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
