**Job Summary**

The Trainee Energy Auditor will support our Energy Auditing and Quality Control Inspection staff while gaining hands-on field experience. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a degree or certification in Energy Auditing or building Quality Control Inspections or have 1 year of experience in an Energy Auditor or Inspector role.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist ICAST Technical/QCI staff in conducting Building Energy Audits in the field
  • Assess the energy performance of buildings
  • Learn how to independently perform QA/QC Inspections for Energy Efficiency projects
  • Learn how to review MF building inspections done by Construction staff at ICAST to ensure they meet the program, customer, and ICAST requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate reporting for all assigned projects

**Requirements**

  • Possess a degree or certification in Energy Auditing or building Quality Control Inspections or 1 year of experience in an Energy Auditor or Inspector role
  • BPI MF Energy Auditor Certification or Functional Knowledge of Energy Auditing principles
  • Weatherization Program (WAP) QCI knowledge
  • Proficiency with M365 Suit of Products (special focus on MS Excel)
  • Firm understanding of HVAC systems in buildings, especially multifamily
  • Understanding of Healthy Homes assessments
  • Strong skills in communication, documentation, and attention to detail
