The Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator will assist in various human resources functions, including recruitment, staffing, training, and HRIS management. This role will particularly focus on the recruitment and retention of Spanish-speaking employees while also supporting broader departmental and organizational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruitment and hiring processes, including sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, entering applicant data into HRIS, and guiding new hires through electronic paperwork and onboarding.
  • Develop relationships with community partners to enhance recruitment and training resources.
  • Help maintain HR forms, documents, and policies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Support personnel matters as needed.
  • Generate necessary documentation and reports.
  • Assist in organizing company events.
  • Contribute content to the employee newsletter.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • One to three years of general office or clerical experience is required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid state driver's license.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
  • Willingness to travel within the Goodwill of the Chesapeake territory.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer usage.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage tasks amidst frequent interruptions.
  • Compassion and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:

The role may involve sedentary to light physical activities, including occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Work Environment:

The position is primarily in a general office setting with limited exposure to environmental hazards.
