Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
Key Responsibilities- Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, implement a prescribed treatment program according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Modify measurement skills based on patients' age, medical condition, and cultural background.
- Communicate patient progress and overall status with the Occupational Therapist to adjust patient goals, treatment plan, procedures, and discharge and equipment needs.
- Ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
- Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
- Complete additional department, organization, or network activities per established objectives.
- Uphold Spaulding Rehabilitation Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
- 2 years of experience for Advanced Clinician.
- Licensed (and in good standing) as an occupational therapist assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- BLS required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic skills in math and computer science.
- Appropriate knowledge of occupational therapy treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population.
- Effective problem-solving skills for occupational therapy treatment planning and execution.
- Safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
