Quality Enterprises is seeking skilled Pipelayers to enhance our workforce. The Pipelayer plays a crucial role in the assembly, connection, and construction of piping systems for stormwater management, sanitation, drainage, and potable water distribution.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Certification in pipelaying is preferred.
  • Prior experience in pipelaying is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and configures pipe routes.
  • Aligns pipes within pipeline sections.
  • Excavates trenches using appropriate tools.
  • Installs pipes into trenches.
  • Removes and replaces defective or misaligned pipes.
  • Inspects joints to ensure proper alignment and spacing.
  • Lays pipes for stormwater, sanitation, and pressurized systems.
  • Grades trenches or culverts as necessary.
  • Seals pipe joints effectively.
  • Utilizes adhesives or welding techniques to secure pipes.
  • Covers installed pipes with soil or other materials.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of pipelaying techniques.
  • Familiarity with pipelayer hand signals.
  • Proficient in operating various pipelaying equipment.
  • Ability to interpret construction blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Capability to follow detailed instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of operating heavy machinery.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to operate machinery in diverse weather conditions and terrains.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.
