Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Industrial Delivery Equipment: Safely operate powered stand-up and sit down industrial delivery equipment to transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Route Management: Drive a standardized route to pick-up and deliver small totes of materials for all plant departments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure all assembly operations are adequately stocked to prevent part shortages and downtime, working closely with Area Managers and Team Leaders to optimize inventory levels.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate part shortages and other critical information to the appropriate leaders throughout the facility, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Material Handling: Move materials in amounts to avoid personal injury, or damage to equipment, material, product, or the facility, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Label Interpretation: Interpret labels to ensure proper disposition of materials, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Battery Management: Effectively manage battery supply to avoid unplanned downtime of the Tugger, ensuring continuous operations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain proper records of equipment maintenance, inventory levels, and other relevant data.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Perform daily shift inspection checks to ensure the Tugger is in proper working condition, reporting any safety or mechanical problems to an Area Manager or Team Leader.
  • Adherence to Safety Regulations: Adhere to all safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Teamwork: Treat all team members with respect and dignity, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
